In short
Reprogramaciones MBV works with companies in the Community of Madrid that run vans, lorries, buses or work cars. We come to your premises or wherever the vehicles are to fix whatever is keeping them off the road: lost keys, AdBlue warnings with a start countdown, limp mode, starting problems or electronic faults. We also do Eco maps tailored to the real-world use of each vehicle and spare keys before they are needed. We group several vehicles into a single visit. We do not tamper with speed limiters or tachographs. Price on request depending on the vehicles and the work, and we invoice in your company's name.
What a vehicle off the road really costs
When people work out what a fault costs a fleet, they usually look at the garage bill. What weighs most is hardly ever on it:
- The work that does not get done that day: deliveries, visits, call-outs.
- The person who drives it, who gets paid the same even if the vehicle stays put.
- The replacement vehicle, if one has to be hired or another moved from the fleet.
- The hours of whoever manages it: taking it to the garage, collecting it, reorganising routes.
That is why, for a company, when and where the work is done sometimes matters more than the work itself.
The electronic faults that ground a fleet
| Situation | Why it keeps the vehicle off the road | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| The vehicle's only key is lost | Without a key it will not start, and the dealer may take a while to supply one | Programme a new one. Better still: make a spare one beforehand. See keys |
| AdBlue warning with a countdown | When it reaches zero, the engine will not start again | Diagnose the cause (fluid, pump, sensor) and repair it |
| Limp mode | The vehicle is restricted and cannot work with a load | Diagnostics at your own premises |
| Engine that turns over but will not start | Immobiliser, ECU or power supply | No-start solutions wherever the vehicle is |
| Damaged ECU | It has to be replaced and adapted to the vehicle | Cloning the unit |
With AdBlue warnings, what we do is find and fix the fault. Disabling the system is not an option for a vehicle used on the road: we explain it in AdBlue.
How we organise a visit to your premises
You send us the list
registration or chassis number, model, year and what is wrong or what you want done on each vehicle.
We tell you what is feasible
what can be done at your premises, what would need to come to the workshop and the price per vehicle.
We agree the day
depending on when you have the vehicles available and standing still, within our opening hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00–14:00 and 16:00–19:30 (closed on Saturday and Sunday)). We do not work at weekends.
We work vehicle by vehicle
reading the fault codes before touching anything and checking at the end.
We tell you the outcome for each one
what has been done and whether any of them needs anything else; if we carry out diagnostics, you get it in writing.
The conditions we need on site (access, space, power supply) are set out in mobile service.
Preventing rather than waiting for the fault
Some jobs take little time when done calmly and a lot when done in a rush:
- Spare keys: making a second key while the vehicle is working is simpler than making one once they have all been lost.
- Reading fault codes while we are there: if we come for one vehicle, reading the others can uncover a problem before it takes them off the road.
- Checking the vehicles that do short trips: they are the ones that suffer most with the diesel particulate filter and the EGR, which never get to work as they should.
Eco maps on company vehicles
An Eco map adjusts the engine so that it delivers its torque lower down, so the vehicle moves under load without as much pressure on the accelerator. On a delivery van or a vehicle that spends the day on the road it can make sense. We will not give you a savings figure, because the result depends on the driver, the load and the route more than on the software. If you are interested, we assess it based on the real-world use of your vehicles.
Lorries, buses and machinery
We also work on heavy and agricultural vehicles. The technical side (which ECUs they use, what can and cannot be adjusted) is explained in commercial vehicles. From the company's point of view, this is what matters:
Price
Each job is price on request, depending on the vehicle and what needs doing. When you send us the list, we give you the price for each vehicle before the visit. We invoice in your company's name. Terms and volume pricing are agreed case by case, and payment is by cash, Bizum (Spanish instant bank payment), card or bank transfer.
Tell us how many vehicles you have, what type and what you need. We will tell you what we can do at your premises and the price.
