What we do

All our services

You don't need to know what the thing you need is called. Find your situation below (you want the car to perform better, it has a fault, you're missing a key, you have a special vehicle or you're a garage) and we'll take you to the page that explains it.

In short

Reprogramaciones MBV is the ECU remapping and car electronics brand of Eurorepar Talleres Hnos. Barriopedro Gil, in Alcalá de Henares. We do ECU remapping (Stage 1, 2 and 3, Eco and functions), automatic gearbox adjustments, electronic diagnostics, engine ECU and BSI (body control module) cloning, key copying and programming, instrument cluster repairs, Volkswagen Group feature activations, back to stock (original) software and no-start solutions, on cars, motorbikes and commercial and agricultural vehicles. Emissions control system deletes are for motorsport only. We work with private customers and garages throughout the Community of Madrid (the Madrid region), at our workshop or coming to you. ECU remapping starts from from €200 + VAT (€242 including VAT) and cloning from from €100 + VAT (€121 including VAT); everything else is price on request.

I want my car to perform better

ECU remapping adjusts the software in the engine ECU for your specific engine. Before writing anything, we copy the original, which is what makes it possible to go back to standard. The difference between the options lies in the parts and in how the car is used:

  • Stage 1: standard car, software only.
  • Stage 2: the software goes with upgraded parts you already have or are about to fit.
  • Stage 3: a project with a modified turbo, injectors or engine, where the software is made for the whole package.
  • Eco: designed for everyday use and low-rev torque rather than maximum power.
  • Custom functions: specific adjustments without a full Stage.

If your car is an automatic, the gearbox counts too: see automatic gearboxes. And if one day you want to undo it, or you bought a car that had already been modified, there's stock software. Deletes are not a performance upgrade: we only do them for motorsport or off-road use.

I have an electronic fault

Almost all electronic faults start the same way: with a warning light or with odd behaviour. This table points you in the right direction based on what you're noticing:

What's happening to the vehicleWhere to start
Engine warning light on, lack of power or limp modeElectronic diagnostics
Smoke, jerking or stalling at idleEGR
Particulate filter warnings or constant regenerationsDPF
Countdown to no-start because of the AdBlueAdBlue
The engine turns over but won't start, or the immobiliser light comes onNo-start solutions
The engine ECU has got wet, burnt out or shows no sign of lifeECU cloning
Lights, central locking and wipers failing at the same time, or a battery that drains while parkedBSI cloning
Needles stuck, instrument cluster display with lines on it or no backlightInstrument cluster repair

If you can't see your case, start with diagnostics. With emissions systems, we always suggest repairing before anything else.

Keys, modules and car functions

This covers everything to do with the car's electronic identity: which keys it recognises, which modules it has and which functions are switched on.

Keys

Copy, new key or all keys lost: transponder, remote fob and immobiliser.

BSI cloning

Faulty comfort module: we clone it onto an identical one, keeping your keys and configuration.from €100 + VAT (€121 including VAT)

VAG activations

Features your Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Cupra or Skoda comes with from the factory but switched off.

All three are linked: the immobiliser may be in the BSI, and an activation depends on which modules the car has. That's why, for any of them, the first step is to read the vehicle.

By type of vehicle

A motorbike, a lorry or a tractor isn't treated like a car: the control units are different, and so are the way they're used and what you mustn't break.

Motorcycles

Throttle response, limiters and maps for motorcycles: what can be done and what can't.

Commercial and agricultural

Vans, trucks, buses, tractors and machinery: electronics with the vehicle off the road for as little time as possible.

If it's a working vehicle, what matters most is downtime. In those cases we usually suggest doing the job where the vehicle is.

For garages, used-car dealers and fleets

If you're in the trade, we have services designed so the customer stays yours: files for you to write yourself, remote coding, or us coming to your garage or your premises.

File service

You read the ECU at your garage, send us the original and we return the modified file ready to write.

Remote coding

Your garage connects the car; we code or program it remotely.

Garages

The electronics work your garage doesn't do, without the customer ever leaving your hands.

Fleets

Company vans, lorries or cars: less time off the road and we come to your premises.

You'll find it all together in trade customers.

How we work, whatever the service

Whatever the service, the order is the same: first understand what's wrong with the vehicle, then save what's there before changing anything and, finally, check it before handing it back. We go through it step by step in how we work, and you can ask for a price using the quote form.

If you can't find your case, message us with the vehicle and what's wrong with it. We'll tell you which service it is and whether we can do it.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

I don't know what's wrong with my car – where do I start?

With electronic diagnostics. Tell us what you're noticing and which warning lights come on, and from that we'll tell you whether it makes sense to look at it and what it might be.

Do you work on all makes?

Every ECU is different, so give us the make, model, engine and year and we'll confirm whether we can do what you need before you come in. In makes we cover what's particular to the most common ones.

Do you come out for any service?

For most of them, yes, within the Community of Madrid. Some jobs need parts removing or the workshop lift, and are best done in Alcalá de Henares; we'll tell you when you book. More detail in mobile service.

Why is almost everything "price on request"?

Because the price varies a lot depending on the vehicle, the ECU and the actual work. We only publish the prices we can genuinely stand by as a starting point; for everything else we give you a fixed price before we start. We explain it in prices.
