A delivery van, a truck or a tractor standing idle is not an inconvenience: it is money not coming in. So here the priority is not power, but sorting out the electronics with the vehicle out of service for as little time as possible, and ideally where it already is.

**In short:** We work on the electronics of vans, trucks, buses, tractors and agricultural machinery: fault diagnostics, AdBlue and particulate filter problems, starting faults, ECU cloning and remaps tailored to how the vehicle is used, such as Eco maps. We can travel to your depot, garage or farm within the Community of Madrid so the vehicle does not have to move if it cannot. What we never do is tamper with the mandatory speed limiter on trucks and buses or with the tachograph: that is a very serious offence. Price on request depending on the vehicle and the job; for businesses with several vehicles, a combined quote.

**Speed limiter and tachograph: off limits**

Trucks and vans over 3,500 kg (categories N2 and N3) and buses and coaches (M2 and M3) must be fitted with a **speed limiter** (Directive 92/6/EEC and Real Decreto 1417/2005, Spain's regulation on speed limitation devices), and road transport vehicles covered by the rules must have a **tachograph** (Regulation (EU) 165/2014). Taking part or assisting in fitting or activating anything that alters the operation of the tachograph or the speed limiter is a **very serious offence** (art. 77.m of Real Decreto Legislativo 6/2015, Spain's Traffic Act). We do not do it, either as part of a remap or even if the vehicle is yours.

## What we do on vans and trucks

The faults that most often take a working vehicle off the road today are electronic, and many of them involve the emissions control systems on modern diesels. What we do:

- **Fault diagnostics**: reading every control unit, not just the engine one, to find the origin and not just the symptom. We explain it under [electronic diagnostics](https://www.reprogramacionesmbv.com/en/vehicle-diagnostics/).
- **AdBlue and particulate filter**: when the AdBlue warning appears with the countdown to the starting lockout, or the filter will not regenerate, we look for the cause (NOx sensor, pump, heater, differential pressure) and repair it. A delete is not a solution for a vehicle driven on the road: we explain why under [AdBlue](https://www.reprogramacionesmbv.com/en/deletes/adblue/).
- **Work-focused maps**: an [Eco remap](https://www.reprogramacionesmbv.com/en/ecu-remapping/eco/) designed around the load and the route, without touching the limiter or the emissions control systems.
- **Starting faults and failed ECUs**: if an ECU fails, sometimes the quickest solution is to [clone it](https://www.reprogramacionesmbv.com/en/ecu-cloning/) onto a replacement unit, without waiting for a new one to be programmed at the main dealer. If the vehicle will not start, see [no-start solutions](https://www.reprogramacionesmbv.com/en/no-start-solutions/).

## Tractors and agricultural machinery

A tractor works very differently from a truck: it spends hours at high load and steady revs, pulling an implement or driving the power take-off. That changes the approach:

- **It is measured in hours, not kilometres.** Engine condition and service intervals are judged by hours of use.
- **Temperature rules.** Under sustained load, the cooling system and exhaust temperature are the real limit. Any tune is done with hours of continuous work in mind, not a sprint.
- **The season will not wait.** If the tractor stops in the middle of sowing or harvest, it cannot go to the workshop and wait. That is why we travel to the farm or the shed.
- **It also goes on the road.** A tractor that goes onto public roads has to comply with its emissions systems like any other vehicle.

We work on tractors of all makes. Some things change for machinery that never goes onto public roads, but we assess each case beforehand.

## Buses

We regularly work on buses and coaches, as we do on construction machinery. We handle electronic diagnostics and faults in the engine and emissions control systems, always in coordination with whoever is in charge of the company's maintenance. A bus's speed limiter is never touched, under any circumstances.

## How we organise it so the vehicle is off the road as little as possible

1. **A call or message with the details**: vehicle type, make, model, year, what fault or warning light it has and where it is.
2. **Initial remote assessment**: with those details we tell you what might be going on and what we need to bring.
3. **An appointment where the vehicle is**: at your depot, your base, your garage or your farm, within the Community of Madrid, or at our workshop in Alcalá de Henares if that suits you better.
4. **On-site diagnosis and quote**: before repairing or programming anything, you know what it is and what it costs.
5. **Work and testing**: we only clear faults once the cause is fixed, and we test the vehicle running.

If the vehicle cannot be moved, tell us from the start: we will plan to do everything possible on site. There we need a power socket, because we do not bring our own power supply. Travel is quoted individually, depending on where the vehicle is. There is more detail under [mobile service](https://www.reprogramacionesmbv.com/en/trade/mobile-service/).

## For businesses with several vehicles

If you have a fleet of vans, trucks or machinery, the useful approach is not to go fault by fault:

- **Group jobs** into a single visit to the depot to cut down on travel.
- **Try a map on one vehicle** and, if it gives the result you are after, apply it to the other identical ones.
- **A single point of contact** and invoicing in the company's name.

How we work with fleets is explained in more detail under [fleets](https://www.reprogramacionesmbv.com/en/trade/fleets/).

## Price

It is **price on request**, because it depends on the type of vehicle, the job and the travel. Our remaps start from from €200 + VAT (€242 including VAT) and engine ECU cloning from from €100 + VAT (€121 including VAT). For several vehicles, we give you a combined quote.

Tell us what vehicle it is, what is wrong with it and where it is. We will tell you what it might be, whether we can come and how much it would cost.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do you travel to a farm or an industrial estate outside Alcalá?

Yes, to anywhere in the Community of Madrid: depots, industrial estates, farms or bus garages. What we need to know is where the vehicle is, whether there is power nearby and whether we can work under cover when an ECU has to be removed.

### Can you remove the AdBlue from a tractor?

If the tractor is driven on public roads, even just to get from one farm to another, no. What we do is diagnose the system fault and repair it. We only consider anything else on machines that work exclusively inside closed premises, as we explain under [deletes](https://www.reprogramacionesmbv.com/en/deletes/).

### Does remapping a truck save fuel?

It can help if the map is matched to the use (load, route, terrain), but the saving depends mainly on the driver, the load and the tyres, and we will not give you a figure. We explain it, along with how to measure it, under [Eco remap](https://www.reprogramacionesmbv.com/en/ecu-remapping/eco/).

### Do you invoice in the company's name?

Yes, we invoice in your company's name, and if you have several vehicles we can group the jobs together.

### Do you work on construction machinery?

Yes, regularly. Tell us which machine it is, what is wrong with it and where it is: with that we prepare what we need to bring and give you a quote for the call-out.
